WhatsApp Scam Offers
Provider has received reports of fraudulent text messages, automated phone calls and voicemail messages where the sender/caller was pretending to be from Provider and attempting to lure the recipient to respond to a scam job offer via WhatsApp.
For anyone contacted as described above:
- It is in your best interest to disregard the message and refrain from any contact with the sender. The message was not authorized or sent by Provider. We do not use WhatsApp to discuss hiring or other business related communications.
- We recommend flagging the message using the Report Junk feature on your phone.
- Meta (which owns WhatsApp) recommends a recipient flag a suspicious message within the app using the Report feature, so they can take appropriate actions as needed against the sender.
- For Provider to consider additional actions to terminate the abuse, please report the issue to Provider. We may reply to request a screenshot of the fraudulent text message.
Scammers may spoof other company names as the sender of similar messages. We recommend researching if the company is legitimate and contacting them directly using their publicly available contact information such as on their website to verify the message.
