Universum, a global research and advisory firm, asked 265,000 business undergraduates that very question, and recently published a list of 50 companies that qualified as “dream” companies based on the reports of the students.

So, which companies did they see when they closed their eyes?

Google was the top pick—and after checking out the company’s cool perks, great pay and fun work environment, we can see why. The survey found that the companies most attractive to the millennial undergrads were ones that offered a well-balanced lifestyle that encompasses work with personal time. The business students named other tech giants like Apple, Microsoft and IBM, as well.

But the companies that made Universum’s list spanned far beyond Silicon Valley. Everything from brewers like Heineken and Anheuser-Busch InBev to cosmetic company L’Oreal and luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton made the cut. A ton of auto manufacturers like Ford Motor Company and General Motors and big-name car brands BMW and Volkswagen were also singled out as highly desirable employers for this subset of millennials.
