Established in 1993, Healthfirst is a not-for-profit managed care organization that provides high-quality healthcare coverage to individuals and families living in New York and New Jersey. Healthfirst offers a variety of government-sponsored health insurance programs, including New York State's Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, Medicaid, and Medicare. The Healthfirst family of companies includes Healthfirst in New York, Healthfirst NJ in New Jersey, and Senior Health Partners (SHP), a not-for-profit managed long term care plan serving Medicaid-eligible clients.

Growth & Stability
The past few years have been very exciting at Healthfirst! Families in need of low-cost health insurance are enrolling in our plans in record numbers while an increasing number of healthcare professionals and providers are joining our network. In addition, government healthcare reforms and strategic decisions made by our board of directors and senior management will keep the industry and our company expanding at a rapid pace.


In 2010, Senior Health Partners (SHP) joined the Healthfirst family of companies, opening up new doors Healthfirst. SHP is a Managed Long-Term Care Plan, serving mainly elder populations whose needs would otherwise not be met by most managed care programs.

Healthfirst recently passed the milestone of 600,000 members actively enrolled in our services and continues to receive new enrollments every day. Along with expansion of the health plans and services offered, comes the need for an increasing number of enthusiastic, qualified professionals to keep the company operating at maximum efficiency.

Our fleet of vans and RV's are always out on the street keeping in touch with the community and providing helpful information to local residents. Our vehicles are our mobile offices and have become familiar points of enrollment, outreach and sources of information within the community.
