Job Description 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct maintenance employees in the maintenance and repair of all mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Conduct observations, inspections, daily and monthly meetings, and safety contacts
 


Job Requirements 

Requirements:
  • 2-5 years prior supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing
  • Requires mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Requires willingness and ability to work rotating shifts in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with high voltage electrical systems up to 6900V,  AC / DC cranes and motors a plus
  • Experience in a steelmaking facility
  • Experience in a union environment
