SENIOR APPLICATIONS ANALYSTS FT, days

*PROFESSIONAL BILLING (#29992)
Under the general direction from the Applications Project Leader, the position performs high level technical systems analysis and programming in one or more specialized phases of applications, acts independently. Also prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written and is responsible for understanding customer needs and processes to ensure maximum utilization of automation and system availability. This position is responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation, following departmental standards. Involved in a multi-disciplinary team approach for selection and implementation of new or upgraded systems.

--Has full knowledge of all phases of application programming and an understanding of operating systems and utilities to perform responsibilities
--Has an awareness of computer equipment capacity and limitations and distributed processing.

*HOSPITAL BILLING (#23632)
Under the general supervision and direction of the Lead, this position performs high level technical systems analysis and programming in one or more specialized phases of applications. Also is delegated the responsibility and accountability of managing the application portion of projects from concept to completion.

--Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written
--Responsible for understanding customer needs and processes to ensure maximum utilization of automation and system availability
--Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation
--Works with other Information System teams to ensure the performance of underlying technical infrastructure and software utilization.

This position is also accountable for application development, modifications of existing and new systems, customer support, consulting and providing information as appropriate to departments, management and the organization. Scope includes defining and understanding specification, preparing request for proposals, and participating in system acquisition process and implementation. Serves as an example and facilitator to other team members.

Job Requirements 

PROFESSIONAL BILLING (#29992)
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE: 3-4 years in a related field
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of some of the following systems based on work assignment: Visual Basic, C++, 3rd party languages, personal computer applications, databases and report writing
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC: The candidiate should have a certification in the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Application, with at least 1 year experience in supporting this application

HOSPITAL BILLING (#23632)

Position is in the Epic Hospital Billing (HB) support group.  Epic certification preferred.  Other HB system build experience and/or knowledge of HB processes and data required.  Familiarity with HB claims is desired (especially Epic).  Must work well in a group, be able to manage multiple assignments and deliver on time.  Documenting solutions in clear language is a requirement. Ability to work with general direction and take care of unstated but related requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
