Configuration Analyst

Description:
Security Clearance: Secret

ITIL Foundation Certification or higher

Excellent Oral and Written skills

Previous Information Technology (IT) experience

Have the ability to communicate with all levels of employees and customers

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, MS Visio

Excellent organization and time management skills

Ability to identify priorities as necessary to accomplish tasks

DoD 8750 Certification (Security+)


Candidate will serve as the CM authority for both IT Configuration and Change Management Processes. The selected candidate will also be responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the processes and tools used to manage an ITIL based and DIACAP Accredited Network. Will be responsible for CM metric development, reporting and oversight of CM metrics. Ensures that the Configuration Management database (CMBD) is updated when a change is implemented and that only authorized and identifiable CI’s are accepted and recorded in the CMDB. Will be responsible for the Definitive Software Library (DSL).

Additional Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

* Overall Management, development and communication of the Configuration Management and Change Management processes
* Identifying, documenting, and controlling the naming conventions of all Network Configuration items (CI’s)
* Ensuring the CMDB provides accurate and up to date information
* Ensuring regular snapshots and Configuration Baselines are taken and protected
* Implementing an auditing process on the CMDB
* Implementing a Communications plan upon changes in the CMDB
* Ensuring Configuration Management and Change Management process descriptions meets individual objectives and are also aligned with company specification
* Sponsorship, design, and continual improvement of the process and metrics
* Collecting all media information and software documentation
* Ensuring CMDB remains consistent with the Definitive Software Library (DSL) in conjunction with Release Management process
* Performing regularly scheduled reviews and audits to verify the physical existence of CI’s
* Reviews and audits to ensure that the CMDB remains consistent with the Definitive Software Library (DSL), Definitive Hardware Store(DHL), and the infrastructure, in conjunction with Release Management process
* Validating licensing compliancy prior to acceptance of software inventory
* Inspecting the network for software license compliance
* Approving/disapproving requests for software installations
* Developing and maintaining the IT documentation libraries
* Serves as Back-up For Change Management position
* Provides training as required

Qualifications:
CMMI Certification

Familiarization and Utilization of ITIL Compliant tools (such as Service-Now, Remedy)

Familiar with Adobe Professional
