Health Unit Coordinator Course beginning August 19 2013

Are you interested in joining a growing profession in the medical field?  Florida Hospital, in partnership with Orlando Tech, is excited to offer a training program to teach the skills needed to join the Health Unit Coordinator/Monitor Tech profession.

If interested in learning more about this exciting opportunity, we invite you to attend one of the mandatory orientation sessions located in room 282 at Orlando Tech. The next class will start August 19  2013. The registration process must be complete prior to August 12 2013. The date for registration is the week of August 12.  Please start the process as soon as possible in order to confirm your seat for the April 1 class.

The Health Orientation Dates are as follows: May 9, 16, 23, and 30. 8am and 5pm Room 282

Health Orientation Dates:  June 6, 13, 20, and 27. 8am and 5pm.

There will only be 8am sessions for the month of July and August .

July 11, 18, and 25. August 1 and 8  8am Sessions only


The Orientation is an informational session about the HUC course. All of your questions about the course will be answered. The Orientation lasts approximately one hour.

Some of the skills taught in this class include: CPR, American Heart First Aid, and computer transcription training in the electronic record.
