Embedded S/W Engineer Prin

Description:
Security Clearance: Secret requiring an investigation within the last 5 years

Subject matter authority and expertise in Control Systems, Handling Qualities, Flight Dynamics and Matlab/Simulink. Demonstrated team leadership of aircraft technical development projects.
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to establish working relationships with all levels of company personnel; must have an active DoD Secret clearance


This is a technical lead engineer position for the design, development, integration and test of the guidance, navigation and control (GN&C) algorithms for an aerospace vehicle program. Candidate will provide technical leadership to a group of engineers to conduct air vehicle stability and control power requirement analysis; develop GN&C algorithms and software; develop software verification and validation (V&V) plan; and support the integration of the Vehicle Management System (VMS). The selected candidate must have expertise and experience in the following technical areas: stability and control analysis; flying qualities criteria; 6-DOF simulation models development; flight control law design for stability augmentation, autopilot/autonomous operations, and structural mode suppression; linear discrete system analysis; model-based software development using Matlab Simulink; and flight critical software V&V and qualification process. Working knowledge and experience in software programming, real-time pilot-in-the-loop simulation system integration, and the application of modern control synthesis methods such as dynamic inversion and neuro-fuzzy logic for practical implementation are highly desirable.
The qualified candidate must be able to receive program access clearance.

Significant Vehicle Management System software development experience, Software Integration and V&V experience
