Overview
The Watershed is recognized as a leading treatment provider offering medical detoxification and rehabilitation for those suffering from the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction. Watershed patients receive an unprecedented level of care by highly skilled professionals who know how to help people find long-term recovery.


The Watershed was incorporated in February of 1998 by a small group of addiction professionals and investors in order to meet a chronic and desperate need for addiction treatment services. The Watershed’s founders had a vision of creating the best addiction treatment and rehabilitation possible in a way that is affordable to the greatest number of people.



The Watershed admitted our first patient on May 1st of 1998 and has since treated over 18,000 people. Over the past eleven years the executive management team and founders of The Watershed have remained committed to our passion and vision…helping the sick and suffering alcoholic and addict.



In November of 1998, The Watershed acquired our first free-standing alcohol and drug detox, rehab and treatment facility in Boca Raton. We continued to provide extended care drug rehab and alcohol treatment at our Lake Worth Apartments in 2007. In October of 2005, The Watershed opened our newest in-patient addiction detoxification, treatment and rehabilitation facility in Boynton Beach, Florida.

Primary Care
The Watershed's primary care program's combine the best elements of 12 Step Recovery, chemical dependency education, and psychotherapy. We believe this combination offers our patients the best pathway to recovery. Our therapists are licensed mental health practitioners, certified addiction professionals, and other professionals in the field of addiction treatment.

Detoxification Services

Our 24 hour nursing, medical and psychiatric staff is here to ensure a safe and effective, medically monitored detoxification for those acute patients requiring only the best in acute patient care.

Our staff has many years of experience in treating patients afflicted with alcoholism and addiction even when complicated by psychiatric illness.

The Watershed is proud to practice excellence in addiction care. We are committed to a higher standard and insist upon utilizing the ASAM best outcome criterion for addiction treatment which has consistently earned us Joint Commission Gold status at all of our facilities.


The Watershed's staff and facilities are equipped to handle a wide range of medical issues that would be beyond the capabilities of most other treatment facilities. The Watershed routinely treats people with asthma, blindness, diabetes, heart disease hypertension, seizure disorders, and HIV and AIDS. The Watershed is also handicapped accessible.
