Overview
In the late 1920s Louis Acker stood on Ellis Island and prepared for the American dream. In 1931 he opened his first mattress store. It was in 1957, that his son, Harry Acker decided to take his years of experience working with his father and expand their well-known mattress store.Sleepy’s was born!

That first store, has grown into a 4 generation, family owned and operated business which is now the largest mattress retailer in the world, with upward of 1,000 beautiful showrooms and growing!
