Willamette Valley Hospice

Overview
Willamette Valley Hospice was founded as a nonprofit organization in 1978 by a group of community members dedicated to meeting the needs of terminally ill patients and their families. The next year, in partnership with the Marion County Home Health Agency, Willamette Valley Hospice began offering home nursing, medical social work, speech, physical and occupational therapies and nursing aide services. That first year, Willamette Valley Hospice served nine patients. Now, our program continues to grow and serves over 800 patients and their families annually.

Willamette Valley Hospice is JCAHO accredited (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) and Medicare certified.

Willamette Valley Hospice continues to rely on support from volunteers and community members. A core of committed volunteers provided over 15,000 hours of volunteer service throughout the year. We serve our community by providing quality care to terminally ill individuals and their families regardless of their ability to pay, supporting families through the bereavement process, and disseminating the philosophy of hospice through education within the community.
