K. Kolby Sidhu, radiation oncologist, joins CCNC’s physician team
Dr. Sidhu is CCNC’s second radiation oncologist

RALEIGH, N.C., Jan. 16, 2006
– K. Kolby Sidhu, MD, has joined Cancer Centers of North Carolina as a radiation oncologist.

Dr. Sidhu most recently served as an assistant professor within the department of Radiation Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pa. She has a strong interest in the treatment of head and neck cancers, as well as cancer in women. She continues to participate in developing clinical cancer trials at the national level.

Dr. Sidhu received her bachelor of science degree in the physical sciences in 1991 from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. She graduated in 1995 from McMaster University Medical School in Hamilton, Ontario.

In June 2000, Dr. Sidhu completed her radiation oncology residency at Princess Margaret Hospital/University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario. She then spent an additional fellowship year in the research and development of new technologic approaches to radiation therapy at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

Dr. Sidhu joins Dr. John Reilly as CCNC’s second radiation oncologist. Dr. Reilly is director of CCNC’s radiation therapy program.

“We are committed to providing our patients with access to physicians trained in the most cutting-edge therapies. Dr. Sidhu’s research and clinical backgrounds will significantly impact our capabilities,” said Dr. Reilly.

Dr. Sidhu will see patients at CCNC’s Macon Pond Road facility in west Raleigh.
