Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton Foundation is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization that raises funds to support patient care initiatives and capital projects for RWJ Hamilton and the Cancer Institute of New Jersey Hamilton.
Bring a community hospital to a suburban setting in Hamilton. Those were the thoughts of a few local leaders who dared to undertake this monumental task of making this vision a reality. They were dedicated to building a dream and strengthening a community.
In 1971, At the hospital's dedication ceremony, New Jersey's Commissioner of Health shared with the audience: "You now have a beautiful building, now you have to build a hospital." And so they did, knowing that a medical facility, no matter how modern, is only as good as the men and women who staff it.
Today, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton shares its proud history, having grown into a comprehensive community hospital offering a wide range of services.
