PHLEBOTOMIST

Phlebotomy Technician needed for busy patient service center or private Dr's office. Full and Part-time shifts available. Full time hours are 8A-5P Mon-Fri. Part time hours are 8A-12Noon Mon-Fri. Some assignments pay be temporary in nature while others may be long term and temp-to-hire. Occasional Saturday's may be requested. Must have the ability to successfully draw back-to-back patients throughout the day, process specimens for shipment, and perform data entry of patient information while maintaining the highest of patient care standards.

-State Phlebotomy Certification (where required)

-High School diploma or GED

-A minimum of 1 year paid working Phlebotomy experience

-Pass a drug screen and background check

-Customer service attitude

-Thorough tube knowledge

-Complete understanding of the order of the draw

-Excellent venipuncture technique

-The ability to successfully draw the hardest of patients

-Ability to draw patient after patient with no re-sticks

-Data entry skills

 

Preference given to candidates who possess the following skills:

-Bilingual

-Pediatrics through geriatrics experience

-High volume drawing experience (50+) per day in an environment where the sole responsibility was to draw patients back-to-back throughout the entire shift, as work at a hospital or reference laboratory

-High level of self confidence in ones own phlebotomy technique

-Excellent customer service consistently demonstrated
