Job Description 

 

 

SHIFT SUPERVISORS

RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM

 

Full time and Part time positions available in

Brooklyn and Far Rockaway, Queens

 
*Supervise staff and consumer activities in a residential setting.

*Ensure adequate staff coverage at all times.

*Communicate medical, behavioral, facility and staffing issues to all employees and management in the residence.

 

* Counsel, assist, and train consumers with developmental disabilities in the areas of personal care, travel skills, social skills, home management, and life skills in order to maximize their functioning in the community.

*Other duties as required by the program.

 

 

 

 

 


Job Requirements 

  • HS diploma/GED and a valid & clean New York State driver’s license required.  AA preferred.
  • Minimum two years experience in a MR/DD environment or  related field with one year in an OPWDD supervisory capacity.   
  • AMAP, SCIP, CPR and TEACCH certification required, but will consider applicants who agree to obtain certification within 90 days of position appointment. 
  • Demonstrated competency in written, verbal, and computational skills to document records in accordance with program and OPWDD mandates.
