Warehouse Supervisor

Local distributor is seeking a full-time Warehouse Supervisor to manage daily operations to include supervision of warehouse workers and temporary/contract laborers.  The ideal candidate must be able to perform the following:

- Supervise, coordinate, provide leadership and oversee the work assigned to staff
- Open and close the facility
- Secure all containers left in yard and monitor their temperature
- Use a forklift and power jack to move products
- Supervise the receiving of all inbound cargo and the releasing of all outbound cargo
- Control damages, shortages and overages of products being received and loaded
- Spot check product location in the warehouse
- Monitor warehouse employees to ensure company policies are being adhered to and that proper tools are utilized in a safe orderly manner with no delay/problem to customer
- Schedule and oversee the work of warehousemen
- Check and approve timecards
- Communicate with Inbound Coordinator on daily container scheduling for unloading
- Check equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition and report problems to Operations Manager
- Participate in safety and sanitation inspections
- Perform other duties as requested

Candidate must have a minimum of 6 years of experience as a warehouseman to include duties in shipping/receiving and forklift operation.  We are also looking for a team player with patience, intelligence and organizational skills.  He/she must be able to handle and understand the physical and mental aspects and demands of being a warehouse supervisor in the most professional way.

- Minimum high school diploma
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check
- Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience as a warehouseman
- Be flexible in working day and graveyard shifts
