  Contract Project Engineer
This is contract job that is estimated 6-9 months and is located in ST. Gabrial, LA.  Please send me your resume.  Must have Chemical experience.

Typical responsibilities for a project specialist include the following:
• Develop & implement capital projects (includes preparing cost estimates, project scopes, schedules, contractor bid packages, etc.).
• Prepare capital appropriation requests (CARs) in the capital project management system (CPMS).
• Manage project budgets in SAP.
• Complete month-end reports (current estimates for capital project budgets & progress updates).
• Design safety & hazard reviews for capital projects with plant personnel, consultants, & contractors;
• Assist with design details, drawings, specifications for project equipment;
• Plan & schedule project work.
• Pre-Construction Safety Reviews with contractors prior to beginning contractor project work. 
• Coordinate field construction and work with personnel to ensure timely, cost effective and quality project results.
• Work with equipment suppliers and other vendors and contractors to ensure project goals are met.
• Maintains effective communications and coordination with area supervisors and operator technicians.
• Support plant and Operational and Maintenance Excellence goals.
• Participate in safety meetings, training activities and follow established safety procedures and practices.
• Work effectively with engineering team and across all levels of the plant organization - individually and with cross functional team.
• Perform project documentation & closeout.
• Lead & facilitate meetings.
• Manage multiple projects.

Requirements for successful candidates include:
• Engineering Degree
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial environment working with capital projects (developing, implementing, & managing).
• Experience with SAP and CPMS.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Scheduling) required.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills - verbal and written.
• Experience in industrial environment working with capital projects (developing, implementing, managing)
