Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Engineering consulting support to sales organization. This includes telephone and written correspondence to address customer's technical inquiries and investigating field installations as to product usage and performance. Address direct customer inquiries regarding Victaulic product features, benefits and applications. When appropriate, visit customer's facilities to address technical inquiries and seminars.
  2. Participate in product development.
  3. Create technical documents/white papers.
  4. Investigate product performance issues at field installations and with returned materials.
  5. Conduct training sessions and presentations with new Victaulic employees, sales personnel, and customers to educate them on the features and benefits of our products and services.
  6. Serve as an internal resource on product issues, representing the customer’s needs.
  7. Continually update personal knowledge of Victaulic products, competitive products, and piping markets.
  8. When requested, provide assistance in local product regulatory matters.
  9. Improve your job processes by incorporating the Quality Improvement Process into every day activities.  Participation in Quality Work Groups and Corrective Action Teams for identifying problems and developing effective solutions is encouraged.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  2. 2-5 years experience required.
  3. Knowledge of piping systems required (such as HVAC, Industrial, and/or Mining/Municipal water systems).
  4. Excellent communication skills and professional appearance required.
  5. Organizational skills and ability to set priorities required.
  6. Knowledge of building construction preferred.
  7. Background in piping system design/analysis of fluid control/fluid mechanics preferred.
  8. Ability to apply theoretical analysis to real-world applications preferred.
  9. Willingness to travel, including internationally, up to 25%.
  10. Valid and current driver's license.
  11. Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
