.Net Windows Application Developer

A client of ours in Austin is looking for a .Net (WPF) Windows Application Developer for a 12 month contract opportunity.


This position will involve building a complex user interface for a high performance desktop application used for time-sensitive financial transactions and processing of large volumes of real-time data, using WPF. WPF will also be used for visualization of complex data that updates in real-time.


Additional Job Details: 
- Strong Windows application development experience (using .NET).
- Strong multi-threaded programming experience.
- .NET experience 5+ years.
- C# experience 3+ years.
- Experience with WPF.
- UI development experience.
- Strong Object Oriented design skills.
- Strong analytical & debugging skills.
- Familiarity with the principles of object-oriented design is required.
- Experience with building distributed applications is a plus.
- Experience with MFC and/or the Win32 API is a plus.

- Strong experience with automated unit testing is a plus.
- Knowledge/experience of secure coding practices is a plus.


Experience using .NET to develop web applications is not relevant for this position. Database development experience is also not relevant. At least 3 years of extensive experience with using the .NET framework to develop desktop applications is required.
