BA - EDI / Implementations Retail or Supply Chain

Job Description


Responsibilities: A major Electronic Commerce Company, located in NYC, New York is seeking a Business Analyst. As a Business Analyst, you will work with active project implementations and assist buyers and suppliers, already using our client's platform, that desire back office integration to their existing supply chain computer systems. This Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering requirements, documenting requirements, writing specifications, testing, and rolling-out customers' technical interfaces.

The Business Analyst will coordinate project requirements with the Business Development, Client Management, Development, QA, Technology, and Product Teams in our Asia and NY Offices and also provide testing while providing on-going customer technical support.

Job Requirements

The successful Business Analyst candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree

  • 2-3 years of project management, business analysis, and quality assurance testing experience in an application development setting

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong oral and written communications skills; team player is essential

  • Systems and ERP implementation experience - procurement or supply chain systems knowledge is a plus

  • Familiarity with EDI, EFT, XML transaction processing, and data mapping

  • Familiarity or knowledge of Internet Communication Protocols

  • Ability to work remotely and independently

  • Actual corporate and international procurement experience a plus

  • Banking, international business, shipping, and logistics experience is a plus

  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio)
